The final North Iowa Tractor Ride will be in Vinton July 18 – 20, 2024
The North Iowa Tractor Ride will be taking its final ride July 18th – July 20th. This will be the ride's 17th ride. Headquartered at the Benton County Fairgrounds in Vinton, nearly 200 vintage and restored tractors and pre-registered drivers, friends and family will start signing in, receiving goodie bags, T-shirts, and tractor signage on Thursday afternoon July 18th, before taking part in the evening meal and drivers safety meeting.
VPL Read-Aloud Book Club, Tuesday, July 16

Baskets and Bags Silent Auction to support Literacy
Join us for out "Baskets & Bags" event, supporting Reach Out and Read, where we make books a part of every healthy childhood. Help us ensure that every child grows up with books and a love of reading. Bugs Make the World Go Round at the Center Point Public Library
On Tuesday, July 23, 10:00 a.m. at the Center Point Public Library Community Room, Iowa State University will present their Insect Zoo, “Bugs Make the World Go Round.” There will be bug learning and bug love; bug petting and bug identifying, for all ages. This event is co-sponsored by the Center Point Historical Society and Friends of the Center Point Library in conjunction with the Library Summer Reading Program.

On the Cedar presentation at The Depot Museum in Center Point
On Sunday, July 21, 2:00 p.m. at the Depot Museum, a presentation will be shared entitled, “On the Cedar.” The talk is about the history and natural history of the Cedar River in Benton and Linn counties by Walker farmer and arrowhead collector Mark Boddicker. The presentation is free and all are welcome to attend.This year’s Historical Society theme is Natural History.
